We all need to make exercise a priority in our day. It can be as simple as taking a walk after work or as complicated as creating a training plan to compete in a race or an event. It takes around 30 days to create a habit. Track your progress and set aside time every day to make the change. Here are some ways to create an active life that you can maintain.
1. Exercise with a group. Go to classes at your local gym or studio. All you have to do is show up and the workout will be all set up for you. The group will help motivate you to continue to work hard.
2. Set a goal. You will find that motivation follows. Signing up for a run or a charity walk will help you continue to push yourself to get out the door.
3. Meet your friends for a walk or a run every week. Friendship makes workouts so much more enjoyable.
4. Count your steps each day to help hold yourself accountable. This way you can track your progress over time.
