KIDS PHYSICAL THERAPY

Kids have pain too, just like their parents, but do not have the words to express what they are feeling.
Kids are not just small adults but have there own set of needs. If something is not feeling right you will see differences in their activity level, sleep and behavior. They might also move funny or refuse to move or walk at all.
Now is the time to bring them in to assess and resolve the issue.
Key Signs of Distress in Children
Movement Alterations & Limping: Children will instinctively guard injured or inflamed areas. You might notice subtle favoring of one side, toe-walking, a wide-based gait, or a sudden reluctance to run, jump, or climb stairs.
Refusal to Move or Weight-Bear: Unlike adults who often try to "push through" pain, a child experiencing acute discomfort—such as nursemaid’s elbow, a growth plate strain, or joint effusion—will often flatly refuse to move the affected limb or step on a foot.
Activity & Energy Shifts: A normally high-energy child suddenly becoming sedentary, wanting to be carried constantly, or sitting out during favorite activities is often responding to fatigue caused by underlying physical strain.
Sleep Disturbances: Disrupted sleep cycles, frequent night waking, or difficulty getting comfortable in bed are frequent secondary indicators of musculoskeletal or systemic discomfort.
Behavioral & Mood Changes: Increased irritability, fussiness, clinginess, or unusual tantrums often signal physical discomfort when a child cannot express what feels wrong.
“My daughter had neck, back and hip pain. By the time we left she felt so much better. She had a better range of motion in her neck and her hip felt better too!”

INVEST IN YOUR CHILD
Give your child the gift of full movement and the ability to be active and to play. Movement is how children explore, build strength, navigate social connections, and develop lifelong confidence. When pain or physical restriction sidelines a child, it impacts far more than just their muscles and joints—it disrupts their entire developmental world.
